This weeks Beautiful Sounds pick is a 21-year-old Australian songwriter and rapper, IGGY AZALEA. Don't be fooled by the color of her skin, this girl got SWAG! 

She started rapping at the age of 14. She also regularly mentions her early influence by Tupac in her interviews, along with Andre 3000, Kanye West, Gwen Stefani and Grace Kelly as some of her inspirations. Azalea also draws and paints as an hobby, hence the title of her first mixtape Ignorant Art, saying she made it "with the intent to make people question and redefine old ideals". 

Iggy Azalea has confirmed that she signed to Interscope Records and is getting a co-sign from T.I., The Atlanta rapper will executive produce the newcomer’s upcoming debut. Expect the release of her debut album, "The New Classic," around June and a debut single in March.

As many of you now know legendary R&B singer Whitney Houston died Saturday in Beverly Hills at the young age of 48. Daughter of Cissy a gospel and pop singer that worked as a back up singer for Aretha Franklin, and Cousin to Dionne Warwick. Houston was the voice behind songs such as " I wanna dance with somebody" and "I will always love you" . I the mid 90's Whitney made here debut and left here mark on the big screen, starring in hit movies such as "Bodyguard" and "The Preachers Wife" I will not take this time to focus on the "negative" things that she has gone through because we all go through things we are all human. Her death is not the only tragedy the real tragedy is the fact that when she was living she was a media scape goat and target for headlines when she was going through difficult times and now that she is gone we want to praise and respect her. This is also true with Mr. Jackson and many others that have passed that did not get the deserved respect until they were no longer here. No one is promised forever so appreciate everyone while they are here, because tomorrow may not exist. A Beauty & the Beat Legend....... We, will always love you!!!!!!

The Freakin' Weekend Drink of the Week is something that all guys have experienced at some point in their life... BLUE BALLS. Although this extremely tasty cocktail might not sound appetizing to men, this is the perfect choice for a "Girls Night Out." 

BLUE BALLS (SHOT) 

Ingredients:
1/2 oz Blue Curacao Liqueur
1/2 oz Coconut Rum
1/2 oz Peach Schnapps
1/4 oz Sweet & Sour Mix
dash of soda (7-up or Sprite)

Mix all ingredients. Chill with ice and strain into a shooter glass.

BLUE BALLS (MARTINI) 

Ingredients:
2 oz Ciroc Grape Vodka
1 oz Blue Curacao
1 oz Peach Schnapps
1/4 Lemon (garnish and juice)

Shake with ice and strain into a chilled Martini Glass. Garnish with a slice of lemon.

We mixed and mingled with fashion designers, store owners, and fashion lovers while partying to the sounds of well renowned DJs such as DJ Good Grief & DJ Elroy Boogie. He has remixed songs by artists such as M.I.A. , Radiohead, and Underworld just to name a few. SBTRKT's music is a mixture of two step, UK funky, dubstep, US RnB and Chicago house.
SBTRKT is an alias used to support the concept of anonymity. He explained that he'd "rather not talk about myself as a person, and let the music speak for itself. The name SBTRKT is me taking myself away from that whole process."

Korean Beats Back on Billboard

The Korean pop girl group Wonder Girls are back at it again! The first Korean music act to ever make the Billboard Hot 100 charts just released the video for their new single "DJ Is Mine" featuring School Gyrls. Although this song is what I like to consider "coming-of-age-pop", I had to show love because of the song title, dubstep intro, and the rap verse with the dubstep bridge! The question is: Are these Korean beauty's beats banging enough to make it back on the charts with this new track? I WONDER...

Snoop in Jail for Marijuanna

Snoop D O double gee was arrested in Texas over the weekend for havin that loud pack aka "the stickiest of the icky" and was taking in by tha "Fuzz" aka the police when his tour bus stopped at a border patrol check point when police dogs found a marijuana perscription. Even though he has a prescription for his .........glaucoma....... Texas has a zero tolerance law and took the D o double gizzle to jizzle and he can face up to 180 days in jail.  The real crime is him wearing letter man jackets when your 60 years old #growup. Your still a legend though but stay out of jail. Snoop can resolve the entire matter by paying a $537 fine, unless he wants to challenge the citation, in which case he can make his case in court. He has the money so its pretty much a #donedeal. But seriously your not 18 in high school take off the Letterman jacket your 60 years old #imjustsayin.
